To ensure a high-quality end result, please follow these installation instructions.
Note: In some applications, such as fire insulation solutions, local regulations must be considered.
General instructions:
- During the installation, both the object to be insulated and the insulation material should be at a minimum temperature of +10 Celsius.
- Allow the temperature of the insulating material to adjust to the ambient installation temperature.
- Always store the wrap tape at room temperature.
- Check that the surfaces to be joined with tape are clean and dry.
- Ensure that pipe section seams are tight but without extra tension. The same applies at supports and other projecting parts.
- Secure the pipe section with steel wire, strapping or tape at 300 mm intervals.
- Insulate pipe elbows either with PAROC Hvac Bend AluCoat T (link to PAROC Hvac Bend AluCoat T installation instruction) or by cutting segments of the pipe section. If you use segments, tape the joints between segments.
- Finish the pipe section ends with end fittings. Bend the end fitting strip around the end and fix it using rivets.
PAROC Hvac Section AluCoat T:
- Place the pipe section on a pipe.
- Press the longitudinal surfaces tightly together.
- Remove the paper covering from the tape.
- Fold the flap to be sealed over the joint.
- Do not overstretch the tape.
- Press the joint tightly.

- When finishing tape joints, use a trowel to ensure they are fastened tightly.
- Secure the joint fixing mechanically with steel wire, tape or steel strapping or tape at intervals of max 300 mm.
- To prevent condensation, seal the cross-joints properly with AluCoat tape.
- When ending a condensation insulation, seal the end with tape towards the pipe.
Taping supports:
- Make the necessary cut-outs before installation.
- Do not press joints too tightly together.
- At support, secure the pipe section with steel wire or steel strapping.
- Seal suspension support base with, for example, silicon.
- To prevent condensation, seal any cuts or holes made on aluminium facing properly with AluCoat tape.
